How a match works

  • Solo, an open room, and a private room are each free once. $4.99 once keeps all of them.
  • Hearts on the map heal you. Lightning on the map makes you sprint.
  • In a room, gold is your level. A hero kill pays more when that hero was a higher level.
  • The room clock is 10 minutes. Level 30 is the top. Then you see the podium.
  • Open room drops you in with whoever is already there. Create room gives you a code. Join uses that code.
  • Buying Arena supports the developer and helps build the next games.

Questions

Is Arena free?

Solo, an open room, and a private room are each free once. $4.99 once keeps all three. It is one payment, not a subscription. Dotle, Hangman, and Trivia stay free.

What is the difference between solo and a room?

Solo is waves that get harder, then Roshan. The board ranks the level you reached, then the creeps you killed. A room is up to 10 players in the same pit, with neutrals, for 10 minutes.

How do I heal?

Hearts appear on the map as time passes, always in a new spot. Walk into one. There is no heal button.

How does a room match end?

After 10 minutes the top 3 stand on a podium, by level, then gold, then kills. Continue starts another match for everyone still in the room. Exit leaves.

What do I get for a kill?

Creeps pay gold, and gold is your level, up to 30. Downing another hero pays more the higher their level was. If you fall, you go back to level 1.

How do I play?

WASD to move. Mouse to aim. Click to strike. Space to sprint. On a phone, use the stick, the sword, and the bolt button.

Is this official Dota 2?
